Landscapes and Life: Three Artistic Visions
Opening Reception: Saturday, March 21, 5–7pm
Landscapes and Life feature works by Elisabeth Barnett, Janine Privratsky, and Dan Shornstein. These artists who often paint together and independently present three artistic visions in this group show. Each artist paints landscapes and other subjects from life; people, animals, local buildings, and still life works. The show explores a range of style and technique including brushy expressiveness, controlled realism and colorful light.

Sculpture, 3-D & Relief: From All Sides
Opening Reception: Saturday, April 25, 5–7pm
Sculpture, 3-D and Relief show presents art processes that may be viewed from all sides. The exhibit encompasses aspects of space, shape, texture and color in a variety of materials. Shown are works in clay, wax, stone, metal, fabric, glass, wood, and found object. From the realistic to the abstract, freestanding and relief, unique and exciting sculptural forms are on display.

A Moment in Time: Inflection Points
Opening reception: Saturday, May 30, 5–7pm
A Moment in Time tries to capture the exact instant when things were one way and became something else. The show theme is based on the idea of inflection points when something changes into a completely different entity. A time of significant change in a situation as in a turning point interpreted through art. A Moment in Time attempts to express that sentiment through works in a range of style and media.

Duets, Trios & Quartets: Close Harmonies

What happens when an artist creates groups of related works? How does grouping influence our connection to each individual piece within a series or collection? Duets, Trios and Quartets explores this theme featuring works in all mediums, styles, and sizes by gallery members.

Small, Small, Small: Small Worlds, Tiny Wonders

Small Works harnesses the quiet power of small. A yearly favorite, this year the TAG artists will be working not only small but also in tiny, miniature, even stamp- size formats. “Small, small, small” invites art enthusiasts to enter the world of art through a narrowed lens allowing the viewer to slow down and take a closer look.

Fall Colors: Seasonal Influences
Opening reception: Saturday, Sept. 12, 5–7pm
Fall Colors is an immersive exhibition that captures the transient beauty of the season through a vibrant collection of paintings and mixed-media works. Utilizing a rich palette of deep ambers, burnt siennas, and fiery crimsons the dramatic shift of nature's landscape before the onset of winter is acknowledged. By blending abstract textures with realistic silhouettes, the show invites viewers to reflect on themes of change, maturity, and the cyclical rhythm of the natural world.

Escape Route: Marie Cole Solo Show

Navigating between painting and printmaking, Marie Cole strives to create order amid the chaos. Escape Route, in relation to her art and practice implies foresight, structure, and planning. While maintaining momentum, Cole moves forward with impetus trying to find pathways leading to harmony amidst turmoil.

Holiday Show 2023
Colorful, Elegant, Playful, Useful. The annual Holiday Show at Tivoli Artists Gallery celebrates all things giftable and closes out the year for Tag.
This show is the crown jewel of handmade; including jewelry, glass, ceramics, wood works, textiles and ornaments of every shape and kind in a boutique format! Of course you will still find beautiful collages, encaustics, paintings, prints, cards and photographs, nestled among this functional bounty.
Surrealism, Fantasy & Abstraction
Surrealism , Abstraction and Fantasy overlap in this exciting exhibit exploring our artist’s play with reality and the subconscious.
While the Surrealists create worlds of their own, the Abstract artists use color, gesture and form as expression. Those creating Fantasy will tell us a story of the artist’s imagination. Something for everyone, what’s not to like!
Marie Cole: Weather or Not!
Solo Exhibition. This exhibit of paintings, pastels and prints will focus on Weather related phenomenon - such as impending storms, rain, or snow, as well as the time of day and the four seasons.
Farms & Fields
Opening Reception August 12: 5-7 PM
For centuries the farms and vistas of the Hudson Valley have been a source of inspiration for artists. This show invited Tag artists to consider their relationship to the land around them.
Going Places
How we travel and where we go changes us in ways large and small. This exhibit will include art depicting places we have been, modes of transportation, travel companions, and sights that held on to us.
Small Works
The Small Works Show is an annual and popular show that celebrates the innovation of TAG artists who create work on a small scale, in a broad range of media and styles. The representation of fine arts from 3-D works, wall reliefs, ceramics, and sculpture the “Small” is big in providing lovers of art with meaningful, accessible and affordable art. The Show runs from June 2nd to July 2nd with an Opening on Saturday, June 3rd from 5pm-7pm.
Sculpture, Ceramics & Figurative Works
An exciting group of TAG members and guest artists will present an exhibit of figurative sculptures and ceramic creations. Highlights will include an exploration of forms from clay, wood and found objects. This will be an elegant balance of complex designs and objects.
Mixed Media & Collaborations
The show will feature artwork by two or more members and guests working together to produce a singular piece. Past shows have exhibited photos enhanced by painters, paintings combined with furniture and canvases and paper shared by several artists.
Winter’s Passing - Transitions
Opening reception Saturday February 18, 4-6 pm
Tivoli Artists Gallery’s current show, WINTER’S PASSING - TRANSITIONS opens Friday, February 17, and continues through March 19, with an opening reception on Saturday, February 18, from 4-6 pm. This theme invited TAG member artists to reflect on the winter season and the transition of the seasons.
